The midfielder joins the Dutch side on loan until the end of the season
Barcelona announced the loan of Oriol Busquets to Twente on Tuesday, a Dutch side who recently were promoted to the Eredivisie. The deal took some days to complete and it's a loan until the end of the season without an option to buy. Barcelona are hopeful the 19 year old midfielder can play for them in the future.
Oriol joins former La Masia team-mates Aitor Cantalapiedra, Javier Espinosa and Julio Pleguezuelo at Twente, who joined this summer too.
Sporting director Ted van Leeuwen was delighted to welcome Busquets. "It's not chance that the day that there's a homage to Johan Cruyff at Barca a Dutch club have reached an agreement with a player typical of the philosophy from the legendary No 14."
