After three seasons with Barça, the 33-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper has signed his new contract with the English Premier League side Bournemouth.

Neto's time at FC Barcelona is now over. The English club Bournemouth have announced his signing on the club's official channels; after securing his release from the Spanish giants without any transfer fee. He arrived at the club in the summer of 2019 in a swap deal with Valencia involving the Brazilian and Jasper Cillessen. Now, he has signed a contract that will tie him to Bournemouth for the next season.

Eleventh departure at Barça

During the last three seasons, Neto has been in the shadow of Ter Stegen and played a total of 21 games, of which he has managed to keep a clean sheet on seven occasions. He now becomes the eleventh player from Barça to exit, after Coutinho, Trincao, Rey Manaj, Moussa Wagué, Dani Alves, Adama Traoré, Luuk de Jong, Lenglet, Óscar Mingueza and Riqui Puig.

Mateu Alemany continues his crusade to lighten the wage bill by trying to fix the departures of all of Xavi Hernandez's discarded players. Of the five players who were not in the squad for the North American tour, only Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite remain, the two most complicated cases to resolve.
