OFFICIAL: Memphis Depay announced as Barca's new signing
The Dutch forward will be strutting his stuff at the Camp Nou next season
Memphis Depay has become the fourth Barcelona signing for next season. The Dutch forward who finishes his contract on June 30 with Lyon will become a Barca player for the next two seasons, until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
It’s a soap opera that has finally come to an end. He joins Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Emerson Royal as new signings for next season.
Memphis is currently with the Dutch national team taking part in Euro 2020. He scored in the 2-0 win over Austria from a penalty kick and helped them qualify for the last 16.
Everybody knew the signing was happening but it could not be announced until the Netherlands had qualified for the next round, per coach Frank de Boer’s wishes.
