Official: Malcom announced as Barcelona's third summer signing
The club will pay 41m euros plus 1m more in a potential variable
Malcom Filipe Silva da Oliveira is a Barcelona player, officially. The Catalan giants paid Bordeaux 41m euros plus 1 in variables to make him their third signing of the summer behind Arthur and Lenglet.
The Brazilian arrived after a saga in which he was very close to signing for Roma, changing his flight to come to Catalonia.
The Italian club had offered 32m plus 4m in variables but the French side changed their mind after Barca’s offer.
After difficulties getting Willian to join, Barcelona moved for the 21-year-old who has similar characteristics to Chelsea’s man. The right-winger stands out for his speed and for a good shot on his left foot, as well as being good with both feet on the ball.
The player will join the tour of the USA as soon as possible.
