Official: Barcelona terminate Guillermo Amor's contract with the club

Aftter sacking B team coach Garcia Pimienta, Barcelona have also confirmed the dismissal of Guillermo Amor from the club on Monday.

Amor, a former Barça player, has had his contract terminated. He was working as the director of institutional and sporting relations for the first team.

Barça confirmed the news, which has earlier been revealed by SPORT, in a short statement at 6pm.

It read: "FC Barcelona has informed Guillermo Amor that his contract is to be terminated.

"The Club publicly expresses its gratitude to him for his professionalism, commitment and dedication and the always positive and amenable way in which he has always acted towards all members of the Barça family, and wishes him all the very best in the future."

Amor first joined Barça in 1980 as an academy player. He went on to make over 300 appearances for the first team, later heled various roles at the club off the pitch and returned in a backroom role in 2017.
