FC Barcelona have closed the signing of Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong for next season.
Barça will pay 75 million euros for the Dutch international, with another 11 million due in potential add-ons.
De Jong, 21, has signed a five-year deal, starting this summer, which will take him up until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
At 86 million euros in total, those figures make De Jong the most expensive player in Dutch football, beating the 85 million Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk.
De Jong will earn around 16 million euros per year -- 10 million net, with another six million in performance-related bonuses.
PSG & City
Barça have seen off competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City to sign De Jong. They were the two other clubs left in the race until the end.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu, general manager Pep Segura and CEO, Òscar Grau were in Amsterdam on Wednesday to close the deal.
