In spite of the differences between Laporta and Al Khelaïfi, the sporting departments of both clubs have sought collaboration
Dembélé's move to PSG has not fuelled any new conflicts between FC Barcelona and the Parisian Saint-Germain. Beyond the differences between Laporta and Al Khelaïfi, which have been public and notorious for years, the fact is that the sporting departments of both clubs have probed different modes of collaboration.
Barça and PSG have more similarities than differences. Leaving aside the French economic wealth, which contrasts with the Catalan shortcomings, both clubs are facing important sporting remodelling: the shared departure of Messi has left its mark.
Contacts between the two clubs have been constant. Luis Campos and Deco have been close friends for years. Or the omnipresent agent Pini Zahavi, who walks around as if he were in the garden of his mansion when he visits the noble zone of Barça and PSG.
Undoubtedly, necessity unites more than opulence. By the way, for those who question Luis Enrique for reaching out to Dembélé who was contract-bound to Barça, they should be reminded that the Asturian does nothing different from the usual practices of Xavi Hernández and other coaches.
