FC Barcelona's Sergi Samper will need to pick himself up once again after suffering yet another injury in the match against Cultural Leonesa on Wednesday evening. The Copa del Rey is likely to be Samper's main outlet for game time with Barça this season but he was unable to complete the first leg tie.
The 'La Masia' star was performing well in the match until his injury curse struck again. At first it was hoped that tests would reveal it only to be mild discomfort but the results of the initial tests were not positive.
Samper suffered a tear to his right calf according to a brief medical post on the club's social media channels. Barça also revealed that no return date has been given yet as it "depends on how he progresses". However it's likely that Samper will be facing another extended period of time on the sidelines.
