Barça don't even want to imagine the Brazilian knocking them out in Lisbon

Getting knocked out of the Champions League to Bayern Munich would close the season with another disappointment for Barcelona.

Without La Liga, without the Copa del Rey, with the Supercopa and without the Champions League, it would represent a first trophy-less campaign since 2007-08-

However, there's a scenario that would make things even more painful for Barça fans: elimination via a goal from Philippe Coutinho.

With no fear clause, the Brazilian will be able to play if selected in the Champions League quarterfinal on Friday, adding some morbo to the encounter.

Barça run the risk of Coutinho doing to them what Fernando Morientes, on loan at Monaco, did to Real Madrid in 2003.

Bayern are without Pavard and Coman's a major doubt. If Coman misses out, Coutinho could start after Perisic was preferred against Chelsea at the weekend and failed to deliver.

Prior to that game, coach Flick said that either Perisic or Coutinho could be chosen to take the place of Coman and after the Croatian's performance things could change vs. Barça.

Beyond Friday's game, Coutinho's future is unknown. Barça will look to sell but Bayern are unlikely to bid, with Arsenal currently leading the way for the former Liverpool man.
