Neymar: The idea of leaving PSG does not cross my mind
The Brazilian insists that he is happy to stay in Paris with his contract running down
Neymar said the idea of leaving Paris Saint-Germain has not crossed his mind after scoring a hat-trick in the 5-1 Champions League win over Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday.
The Brazilian's treble helped PSG qualify for the last 16 as group winners.
His contract in Paris is up in 2022 and he's yet to sign a new deal. Last week he sent the rumour mill into overdrive when he revealed he wants to play with Lionel Messi again next season.
“I am very happy here in Paris," Neymar said. "I am very happy at the club, with my teammates. The idea of leaving does not cross my mind.
"We need to talk. We have a very good relationship, I am very happy at Paris Saint-Germain.”
Neymar's latest comments will cool speculation of him reuniting with Messi at Barça and increase the rumours of Messi joining him in the French capital.
Messi is out of contract next summer and free to negotiate with other clubs from January.
