The Brazilian told his soon-to-be former colleagues on Wednesday

Barça's players had tried to convince him to stay on the U.S. tour

The Neymar soap opera could be, at last, in its final hours. The Brazilian communicated to his team-mates on Wednesday that he's leaving Barcelona and will sign for Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days.

After Ernesto Valverde gave the players two days off following the American tour, they returned on Wednesday for a double session. Neymar, who spent his time off in China at promotional events, was the last to arrive at the Ciutat Esportiva, just after 9.00am.

In that moment, he then told his team-mates: I'm leaving and signing for PSG. A message that the Barça players had tried to avoid by convincing the forward that there's nowhere better to be than Barça.

But they could not persuade him. Neymar has taken a firm decision and all that's left now is for Barça and PSG to reach an agreement -- or for the French club to pay the 222 million euro buyout clause.
