The Brazilian left the club's base after a three-hour meeting

The first contact between Neymar and Paris Saint-Germain's hierarchy is now over. The Brazilian left the club's training base after a three-hour meeting with sporting director Leonardo. The mood in the meeting, according to initial reports, was icy.

Neymar then left without taking part in the training session being held by coach Thomas Tuchel. PSG have their first preseason friendly on Tuesday in Germany, but Neymar is not expected to travel for the game. It doesn't seem he has had his annual medical, either, which all players undergo at the start of the season.

The Brazilian arrived back in Paris, according to RMC Sport, at 7.30 and went directly to the training ground, making it there for 9.10.

Remember that according to the club, Neymar is returning one week late. Leonardo said he should have returned on July 8 and PSG have opened disciplinary proceedings against him. In contrast, he says that he was still injured and that he had permission from ex-sporting director Antero Henrique to remain in Brazil for work with his Foundation.

In the meeting, Neymar and PSG could put their cards on the table face to face. The player has already told the club he wants to leave and has now suggested all is not well in the media. He said over the weekend, controversially, that the best moment of his career was beating PSG 6-1 with Barcelona.
