Under Valverde, the players would not train on the morning of a match
At 11am on Sunday morning, Barcelona trained ahead of their game later in the day against Granada at Camp Nou in La Liga.
New coach Quique Setien has broken traditions by calling the players in for a session on the day of a match, but he wants to get to know his players as soon as possible.
As he explained in Saturday's news conference, he wants to be in permanent dialogue with the squad in a bid to get the best out of each and every one of them.
In Sunday's session, he went over various tactical issues ahead of the game against Granada, who beat Barça earlier in the season.
Later he confirmed the squad for the game, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Arthur returning from injuries and Riqui Puig also included.
