Barcelona will face Olympique de Lyon in the Last 16 of the Champions League and it's a team they know well because they've been looking at many of their players ahead of the transfer window. The midfielder, Ndombele, is having an excellent season as are Aouar and Fekir. All three on Barça's wish list. Lyon are a selling team and it's the same club which Barcelona signed Samuel Umtiti from two seasons ago.
There's no doubt Lyon's strength lies in its midfield. Ndombele is the key to that and he's been attracting interest from all over Europe this season. However, for Barça, he's only an option if moves for De Jong and Rabiot fall through. Lyon want €75m for the player who has now established himself with the national side too. Manchester City are the favourites for his signature.
Aouar is a technically sound midfielder that Barça are monitoring. He signed a new five-year contract with the club last summer but plenty of Champions League sides would like to add him to their ranks. Fekir was on the verge of joining Liverpool six months ago and is constantly involved in his team's goals. The talented forward could have signed for Barcelona too but they opted to make other targets a priority instead.
