Napoli's formula to try and sign Miralem Pjanic

The Bosnian midfielder is not wanted at Barcelona and the club would like to offload him

Miralem Pjanic is one of the players that Barcelona will try and sell this summer. The Blaugrana do not count on the Bosnian midfielder and he, in theory, will make things easy for them. At 32 years old, his priority is playing and feeling important in a project. Despite how his last two years have been, far from his best at Roma and Juventus, that history means he still has some interest from Serie A clubs.

Napoli are one of the teams that are alert to Pjanic’s situation. The team have qualified for next season’s Champions League and want to reinforce their squad with players who are used to playing at the top level.

Per Tuttosport, a friend of the midfielder who lives in Formentera planted the idea in president De Laurentiis’s head, with whom he is also friends, and they may try and loan him from Barcelona.

The Catalans would prefer a transfer but they wouldn’t mind Napoli loaning him and paying a big part of his high wages. The Italians would try not to have to pay 100 per cent.
