Barcelona B continued preparations for the new season on Monday with the addition of Monchi, Oriol Busquets and Akieme.
The trio had been training with Ronald Koeman's first team but have now dropped down to work with Javier Garcia Pimienta's second team instead.
Monchu and Akieme were both part of the B team last season, while Busquets has returned from a loan spell with Twente in Holland.
The demotion could be seen as a sign that they are on the market, with Koeman not planning to give them minutes while they have now outgrown the third tier of Spanish football.
