Mino Raiola: Erling Haaland to Barca? Complicated but not impossible
The Italian super agent was speaking to AS about his main man
Mino Raiola, Erling Haaland’s agent, is still making waves. He spoke to AS, flirting with Real Madrid and other clubs. On Haaland signing for Barca, he said there was a chance.
“It’s complicated but not impossible,” said Raiola. “This is the work of a club director. It’s equal for all clubs and players. The train passes and what do you do? Catch it or don’t catch it. That’s the big question.”
Just before answering about Barcelona, he had spoken about Real Madrid and whether they can afford Haaland.
“I don’t know because I don’t study their finances, but I think so,” said Raiola.
“I think that everyone can. But the question is another: Can Madrid afford not to sign Haaland? And Barca?”
Asked if he saw Haaland more in the Premier League or La Liga, he hinted at Spain. “Haaland is interested in two things. Scoring goals, because he’s a bit like Cristiano or Zlatan, it’s his obsession ins a positive way, and winning titles. And he will choose where he can do those things best. At a club like Barcelona and Madrid, with so much history, it’s hard to say no. PSG are getting into this group, City are trying to, Juve always was. But the league they are in matters too. PSG play in the least attractive league. Bayern always win. In Spain there are three with chances…”
