Milan midfielder Kessie has already passed his Barça medical
The Ivory Coast international will join Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer
Franck Kessi will be a Barcelona player next season. According to Gianluca di Marzio, the Milan midfielder, who is out of contract on June 30, has already passed his medical with the Catalan club. He did so in the Swiss city of Lugano.
As explained by SPORT last week, Kessie will sign a four-year contract with Barça and will earn around €6.5 million annually. The Ivory Coast international, though, will not receive a signing bonus.
Kessie is different to the other midfielders in the Barça squad and will arrive to increase the competition for Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi and Nico Gonzalez.
GOOD NUMBERS
Kessie will leave Milan after five years at the club. He signed from Atalanta in 2017 and has made 214 appearances for the Serie A club, scoring 36 goals.
