Mijatovic: the former Madrid man trying to help Barça sign Dembele

Barcelona are in the hands of a former Real Madrid player in their attempt to sign Ousmane Dembele. Predrag Mijatovic has managed to become the intermediary between the player's agent Moussa Sissoko and the club to try and facilitate a transfer which seems impossible at the moment. And, curiously, Mijatovic also wanted to get the player to Barça last summer, but didn't have any luck as Borussia Dortmund won the race. 

Dembele's story with Barça is, at the very least, curious. The forward was perfectly controlled through his old agent Dadou Sambague, who had been offering him around for two years. Barcelona had good reports on him, but there was no serious interest until the player broke into Rennes' first team last season. At that point, a number of clubs appeared on the season and things got complicated. Barça had previously hoped to sign him for little more than 10 million euros. 

But Dembele's explosion forced him to hange agents and he began to work with Sissoko, who played a key role in him ending up in Germany. Now, Mijatovic is working as the link and hopes to convince Dortmund to reduce their price. He is in permanent contact with Barça's sporting director Robert Fernandez, who he has maintained a friendship with since they played for Valencia, and hopes to push through a deal which would see him land commision.
