Messi's freekick vs Liverpool was voted the best goal of the Champions League
A small consolation for Barça in Europe is that Messi's goal was named the best from the 2018/19 edition of the Champions League
UEFA have handed Leo Messi another award this season as the Argentine looks set to claim his latest Ballon d'Or.
After being included in the Best XI of the Champions League, finishing as the tournament's top scorer with 12 goals, he's now been rewarded for his goal against Liverpool in the semi-finals.
The freekick at the Camp Nou, the latest in the long line of outstanding set piece finishes, made it 3-0 to the home side in the 81st minute.

In UEFA's top ten goals of the season, five were scored by FC Barcelona players: Messi, Rakitic, Dembélé, Coutinho and Luis Suárez.
