The Barça star missed the game but went down to the dressing room at full time

Newspaper Diario Olé have revealed what Lionel Messi's reaction was during halftime and, above all, after the game as Argentina lost 6-1 to Spain in Madrid on Tuesday.

Messi, who missed the game through injury, suffered his country's humiliation at the Wanda Metropolitano like the rest of his teammates. For that reason, he went down to the dressing room and gave the following message: "We come through this together. United."

The gesture, according to Ole, was valued by his teammates and the coaching staff, who felt supported by their captain at a delicate moment.

Messi felt that he had to intervene and he did so after watching the Albiceleste suffer against La Roja in Madrid.

"What Ledo did? Nooooo, really good, really good. Honestly, we needed it," one of the people present in the dressing room told the newspaper.

More than anything, Messi, who flew back to Barcelona after the game, wanted to exercise his role as Argentina captain at a difficult time for the team.

That's when the big gestures are most appreciated. And Leo's was.
