Barcelona forward Lionel Messi says Lionel Messi want to win all three competitions this season and that his preseason rallying call was misunderstood.

Messi said before the Gamper Trophy game against Boca Juniors that Barça wanted to bring the "beatiful trophy" back to Camp Nou in reference to the Champions League.

Those comments were took to mean that Barça approached this season with a one-track mind, but the Argentine argued that's not true.

"They said we were going to throw the Copa del Rey and that we didn't want to win it," Messi said.

"Maybe people misinterpreted my message at the beginning of the season [about wanting to win the Champions League]. We want to fight for the treble. It's our obligation to fight for all three competitions. At Barcelona, we want to win everything."

Messi was speaking after starring in Barça's comeback win against Sevilla as they made the last four of the Copa del Rey.

The Barça No10 made one, scored one and won a penalty, which he allowed Philippe Coutinho to take.

"Coutinho had scored a penalty against Levante and he wanted to take it," he added. "We talked about it. So he took it and I am happy because the comeback started there."
