The three senior players met with Pepe Costa in the immediate aftermath of their loss to Valencia

Three senior and important members of the first team: Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique - alongside Pepe Costa, in charge of player relations - held an impromptu meeting at Sevilla airport following the Copa del Rey loss to Valencia.

The Barça players spoke about the consequences of losing to Valencia, as well as valuing the season on the whole, and know the team needs tweaking.

This meeting took place on the bus from the Villamarin stadium to the airport. Suarez, Messi, Pique and Costa spoke for quite some time about the squad, how they lost to Valencia and the devastating defeat to Liverpool.

Even when the rest of the squad got off the bus the four members remained in deep conversation at the back. This forced everyone else to wait 15 minutes for them to finish.

The rest of the trip back to Barcelona was held in almost complete silence. It was said to be worse than in the aftermath of losing to Liverpool.
