Messi shirts still available in Barça shop as forward becomes free agent
As of July 1, the Argentina international no longer has a contract with Barcelona
Lionel Messi no longer has a contract with Barcelona and is a free agent, technically. However, the Catalab club are still selling shirts carrying the forward's name in their club shop.
Barça are still displaying next season's kit with Messi on the back and it remains one of the most sought-after items in the store.
However, it is surprising to see that Messi does not appear in the 'collage' on the exterior of the club's official shop, keeping in mind he's always been the main focus.
Messi is a free agent as of Thursday but both the player and the club are working on closing a new contract as soon as possible and an agreement is close.
He is currently with the Argentina national taking part in the Copa America, with Ecuador to come in the quarterfinal this weekend.
