Messi likely to miss Argentina's friendly against Spain on Tuesday
The Barcelona forward has muscle fatigue in his hamstring
Lionel Messi is set to miss Argentina's friendly against Spain at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on Tuesday.
The "muscle fatigue" problems in his hamstring which saw him miss the Italy game on Friday have continued and he will not be risked against La Roja.
Everyone at the AFA and Barcelona is in agreement that no risks should be taken, with the La Liga leaders still fighting on three fronts and Argentina preparing for this summer's World Cup.
Messi wanted to play against Spain -- a friendly with a special meaning for him -- and Jorge Sampaoli suggested he would after training on Monday.
However, the fatigue has continued and finally they have decided that it's best not to take an unnecessary risk.
