Leo hasn't found the back of the net for Barça since the Copa del Rey final last season

On Sunday it'll mark the 134th day since Leo Messi last scored a goal for FC Barcelona. That's far too long for the best player - and goalscorer - in the history of the club and LaLiga.

The injury he suffered at the start of preseason has limited his availability so far this season and he's only just completed 90 minutes for the first time against Inter Milan.

Messi's last goal for his club came in the Copa del Rey final on the 25th May.

Since then he has scored for Argentina, scoring in his country's draw with Paraguay in the group stages of the Copa America.

146 DAYS WITHOUT A GOAL IN THE 2006-07 SEASON

The last time there was such a long gap between goals for Leo came in the 2006/07 season. He went 146 days without scoring from the 15th October to 10th March.

Messi also missed a long period of time out due to injury, spending three months on the sidelines as he recovered from a broken metatarsal.

Curiously, Messi ended that run with his first ever hat-trick. It came at the Camp Nou and against Real Madrid no less.
