Leo Messi scored his 600th career goal on March 4, 2017 as Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 1-0. He has scored 539 for his club and 61 for Argentina, scoring against 99 different rivals in the process (72 + 27), one short of a century.
His first Barça goal came at Camp Nou against Albacete (in La Liga) in May 2005 and his first for his country came the followin year, in March, against Croatia.
Since then, the goals haven't stopped pouring in, with number 600 arriving against Atletico via a free-kick.
