Message to Coutinho: Don't make us look bad
The Brazilian returned from Germany in great shape and one of the captains spoke to him
Philippe Coutinho has not only won the confidence of Ronald Koeman but also the admiration of his team-mates in the Barcelona dressing room.
He has come back to the club after a loan spell at Bayern Munich looking far better, in great shape and enthusiasm to keep improving - so much so that one of the club captains told him "don't make the squad look bad", per Cadena SER, referring to his desire to spend extra time in the gym.
Coutinho, now not the timid player who left Barca, who always ran out of gas in the second half, is becoming a top player.
In Germany he had two fitness coaches who helped him find this fitness. The demands of the Bundesliga also obliged him to improve in that aspect.
Now he wants to keep his shape and he's doing that by working overtime in the gym, which has let him stay better for longer on the pitch.
