Memphis Depay not willing to accept Barca releasing him
The player wants to stay at the club unless the right offer arrives for him in January
Barcelona would look kindly on Memphis Depay leaving in January but it won’t be easy. They are willing to let him go for nothing but he wants to stay and earn the rest of his salary. Memphis would only accept an exit to a Champions League club, where he could have a key role. Otherwise he will wait until June.
Memphis and his people were hard to negotiate with in the summer and they decided to stay, with Juventus unable to afford their demands. Once Aubameyang left for Chelsea, Memphis was content to remain in Barcelona. If he has a good World Cup, there might be more offers for him.
The Dutchman knows that Barcelona have doubted his professionalism during his recovery from injury and he is annoyed about that.
