The duo are potential options for Arsenal, who are interested in the Dutch forward
Memphis Depay is looking like he could leave Barcelona in the summer. The club are more than satisfied with his performance, but the signings expected for the next project and those there already mean the Dutchman might not get too many minutes next season.
Barcelona have not wanted to negotiate over his future so far but the situation could change from next week. Arsenal are interested and Barcelona might try to include Samuel Umtiti on a year loan to the Gunners too.
Barcelona need to sell players, as many as they can by June 30. For the moment they have sold Coutinho for 20m and now are focussing on Memphis and Frenkie de Jong. The Dutchmen could bring in more money than others.
Memphis would like to stay but he should have a conversation with Xavi, over whether he will have a big role next season or not.
Lewandowski and Raphinha’s potential arrivals would limit that.
Memphis has a lot of ‘market’. In Italy, Juventus have asked about him, although they may go for Di Maria in the end.
If Barcelona decide to sell, Umtiti being included may be the key to deal. Relations with Arsenal are good, after the Aubameyang deal in January.
