Meeting between Xavi & Pablo Torre to decide youngster's Barça future

| sport

Torre is likely to get minutes with Barça Atletico before the end of the year

Pablo Torre has taken advantage of the three days of rest that Xavi Hernández has given to the FC Barcelona squad to return to his homeland, Soto de La Marina, and disconnect before returning to training. The Barça first team will train this Wednesday, although due to the international break there are only six players left available, including the Cantabrian midfielder, so it will be a session with a large presence of members of Barça Atlètic and even Juvenil. It will also be the time to make a decision about his immediate future.

Xavi already revealed a few days ago that he would meet with the player soon to analyse the options on the table. And Pablo Torre will abide by what the club decides. He is willing to strengthen Barça Atlètic when necessary if this is, as seems most likely, the decision that ends up being taken. Xavi has already said that a footballer of his age -- 19 years old -- and with the future he has ahead of him cannot stand still.

First team dynamic

Torre will continue in the dynamic of the first team, training under Xavi and looking for minutes. His only minutes so far arrived in the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen and he hopes to fulfill his dream of playing in LaLiga next. He has not yet even trained with the B team, so he could use the international break to get to know Rafa Marquez's team better. The Mexican coach assured SPORT in a recent interview that the "doors are open" for Torre.

The fact that it is a World Cup year in the middle of the season and that LaLiga stops, but not the Spanish third division, where Barça Atletico play, inevitably leads Pablo Torre to the filial. The player will accept it without losing hope of adding more minutes with Xavi as well.
