The father of De Ligt's girlfriend, Keje Molenaar, says that he would personally choose Barça
Keje Molennar, the father of Matthijs de Ligt's girlfriend, Anneke Molenaar, has spoken about the defender's future once again. In an interview with NH Sportcafe, Keje made it clear which could he would choose and the reason why.
"De Ligt is on holiday," Keje said. "Barça is a great club. Knowing you could play alongside Messi would be an important aspect for me." However, the player himself won't be short of advice. "He has other people who he will ask for advice from. His agent, his parents and Barru Hulshoff. They are his inner circle."
All anyone can do now is wait and see what decision the Ajax captain makes. De Ligt is enjoying a summer break alongside his girlfriend whilst his agent, Mino Raiola, continues to field calls from all around Europe.
