Ther German football legend promoted Todibo as a signing for Schalke 04
Lothar Matthäus, a German football legend, has recommended the signing of Jean-Claire Todibo for Schalke 04. The German side are interested in him and sent two emisaries to Barcelona to discuss a deal for the French centreback. Todibo currently is in Saudi Arabia with the Barca squad.
Matthaus was extremely positive about him, having seen him live against Inter Milan in the Champions League group phase.
"Todibo is the best centre back I've seen in a long time," said Matthaus. "He would be a good reinforcement for Schalke and an enrichment for the Bundesliga. At 20 he is incredibly calm, he always finds interesting solutions."
