Matheus & Konrad make Barcelona debuts against Dynamo Kiev
The Brazilian and the American both came on in the second half of the Champions League game
With the game decided against Dynamo Kiev, Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman took advantage of the situation to hand debuts to Matheu Fernandes and Konrad de la Fuente.
Matheus, who was on loan at Real Valladolid last season, came on for the final 17 minutes in place of Pedri. It was the first time the Brazilian has ever played for Barca at any level. This was also the first time he was even in a match day squad.
Barça signed him from Palmeiras last January for seven million euros and immediately sent him on loan to Valladolid. They tried to move him on again in the summer but he ended up staying at Camp Nou.
Konrad, meanwhile, is more well known. He came through the academy at Barça and was involved in pre-season. The United States international came on for Francisco Trincao for the final 10 minutes in Kiev.
