Mateu Alemany negotiating over Ousmane Dembele in Morocco
The sporting director headed to the African country to speak to Moussa Sissoko
Barcelona’s sporting director Mateu Alemany has travelled to Marrakech to meet Moussa Sissoko, Ousmane Dembele’s agent. Gerard Romero revealed the news on his Twitch show and SPORT have confirmed it.
The Frenchman’s contract ends at Barcelona in June and he can join any side he wants if he does not renew with Barcelona. The club could not reach a deal with him in January and tried to force him out.
However the situation changed since and Xavi has relied on Dembele, who is enjoying himself on the pitch turning whistles to a standing ovation after the Sevilla game.
Xavi believes in Dembele a lot, saying he can be the best in the world in his position. The issue is getting his wages to fit in the club’s structure, with Sissoko wanting a lot for his man.
