The Spanish defender knows that a deal will be done for less than 10 million

Marcos Alonso will play for FC Barcelona. The signing is very advanced, although it could be sealed after La Liga has started. The deal will be a transfer which is less than €10 million, and the player will sign for Barcelona for two seasons, with the option of a third season. Despite everything, it’s most likely the deal is announced after the league season starts because the priority right now is to register the players who are already here, and sell the players that will not be needed. Alonso will have to have a little bit more patience if he wants to play for Barcelona.

Barça and Chelsea are quite advanced in the discussions over Alonso, and the player has the nod from his coach Thomas Tuchel to leave the London side. Unlike Cesar Azpilicueta, who is staying, Chelsea have found a replacement for the Spanish left-back and have announced the signing of Marc Cucurella in a deal for around £60 million.

Alonso‘s agent, Farli Ramadani, met with Mateo Alemany. They wanted a 3 year deal but in the end it would likely be two with an additional third, depending on if he achieves certain objectives. The defender knows that everything is advanced, and can take things calmly. Alonso’s arrival means that Ale Balde goes out on loan, most likely to another La Liga side.
