Marcos Alonso will ask to leave Chelsea to sign for Barcelona
The Blues left back is not needed in west London and he has a deal with Barcelona
There is a deal between Barcelona and Marcos Alonso. The Chelsea defender is first on the list of the sports department in the left back position and he will ask to leave the club to come to Camp Nou.
However, it won’t be easy. He has a year left on his deal at Chelsea and Barcelona cannot pay a lot of money for him. Contract wise, there is no issue. The club’s offer works for Alonso and he wants to join.
Instead Barcelona have to negotiate with the Blues for Alonso and also Cesar Azpilicueta, who has had his contract automatically renewed, but they might let him go.
Alonso is not in Chelsea’s plans for next season so they are happy to sell but they will not give him away.
