Chelsea have begun their re-construction to take on the Premier League and Champions League next season. After signing Timo Werner and Ziyech, moving for Kai Havertz, they have set their sights on Marc-Andre ter Stegen. However the German goalkeeper is an impossible dream. They know how hard it will be.
The Londoners are following Barca's attempts to give Ter Stegen a new deal. The Telegraph says they will offer a deal including Kepa Arrizabalaga going the other way.
At Barca they have not heard anything from Chelsea and reiterate that Ter Stegen is not transferrable. The German is one of the few players who is untouchable, his renewal a priority.
Despite his contract expiring in 2022, Barca and Ter Stegen are sure they will reach a deal. If that happens, Chelsea will look to Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak. But he will not be easy to sign either.
