The Catalan club want to strengthen in attack and the English striker's an option

Manchester United are set to make big changes this summer to their squad after the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the club's new coach.

The English club have promised him 300 million euros to spend with the objective of returning them to the top of the Premier League.

There will be a lot of players leaving and one of them could be the forward Marcus Rashford -- who is out of contract in 2023, although the club have an option to extend it by an additional year.

Barça value Rashford's potential and versatility as a forward but it would be a complicated deal financially. The player would be keen to come and there has been contact in the past.

The Catalan club have always followed Rashford closely. He's talented, good physically and a goal scorer. He's never quite exploded at United and this season has had injury problems.

United's fans like him but Ten Hag has reportedly said he can leave if there's an interesting offer. Rashford is open to an exit.

Barça are looking to strengthen their attack. Haaland was their top target but he looks set to join Manchester City, leaving Lewandowski as the most realistic option, although the club are waiting to see if he renews with Bayern Munich.

Beyond that, other options are being analysed and one of them is Rashford.
