Man Utd striker Edinson Cavani a January target for Barcelona

The option to sign Edinson Cavani is gaining weight in Barcelona's offices.
A few days ago, various reports in England suggested the Manchester United striker had offered himself to Barcelona for the summer.
However, SPORT have learned that the option on the table at Barça is to sign Cavani in January, as long as it can be done low-cost.
Given the lack of strikers at Camp Nou, the Uruguay international, who's open to leaving Old Trafford following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, believes a move to Camp Nou would fit with his interests and keep him in elite football, following spells with Napoli, PSG and United.
Cavani, 34, still feels capable of playing at the top level for another two years. His contract with United expires in the summer and he can negotiate with other clubs in January.
