The Brazilian's found it tough to adapt to life at Camp Nou

Philippe Coutinho has said enough. He doesn't feel he can continue at Barcelona, where he arrived as a star but his role has decreased alarmingly. It seems only Ernesto Valverde still believes in him, although less all the time as he fails to take advantage of each opportunity handed to him.

People speak about a mental problem, about not adapting well, that he doesn't understand the idea of how Barcelona play. With all this mounting, the player wants to leave Barça and forget this dark spell in his career. The jeers from some fans at Camp Nou when he was taken off against Rayo Vallecano was the final straw, according to the British press.

Objective: Premier League return

The Mirror assure that Coutinho's sent an SOS to Manchester United to sign him and offer him a return to the Premier League, where he was a huge success for Liverpool.

The same report claims that 'Cou' has spoken with several United players and has told them there's a chance he could move to Old Trafford in a 115 million euro deal.

The Brazilian playmaker yearns for a return to England, especially after seeing the Barça fans turn on him and Ousmane Dembele take his place in the side.

Liverpool not an option

Coutinho's ideal scenario would be a return to Liverpool, where he was a genuine star, but his move to Barça was so traumatising that he believes a return is not an option.

United, who are back in form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, could therefore be best placed to negotiate a deal with Barcelona, who are ready to listen.
