The Barca midfielder is not training with the first team and has not signed a new deal

Ilaix Moriba has been kept away from Ronald Koeman’s first team during preseason, because he has not signed a new contract with one year to go on his deal.

The player has not liked this decision from Barca and he is not changing his stance, it seems. The latest story from England comes from the Manchester Evening News and they say Man City and Chelsea have made the first movements towards Ilaix and could make him an attractive offer. They have got in touch with his agents to find out the situation.

The Premier League clubs are said to be willing to offer the 18 year old midfielder a six million euro salary a year, double what he earns at Barca, and City are the more insistent.

Joining Pep Guardiola’s side would be more attractive for Ilaix too, and the coach has said he likes the midfielder’s game.
