Manchester United are pushing hard to lure Ivan Rakitic away from Barcelona after discovering that the club has yet to enter talks over a new contract. The Croatian midfielder's representatives have spoken with United about the current situation.
SPORT told you a few days ago that Barcelona didn't have plans to offer Rakitic a new deal at the moment. This has only increased the speculation surrounding the midfielder's future.
The 'Daily Mail' claim that United have made it clear they want to sign Rakitic next summer and move ahead of Chelsea, PSG and Inter who are also interested.
Rakitic's desire is to stay at Barcelona but if the club make it clear they will listen to offers for him, United might be his first choice.
