The press officer refused to allow questions which were about Barça's possible interest in signing the midfielder

Olympique de Lyon's star man, Nabil Fekir, wasn't allowed to respond to a question about FC Barcelona's interest in signing him. The player was told by the club's press officer that he couldn't answer the question and that the only topic for today was the match against Barça tomorrow evening at the Camp Nou.

Fekir was respectful and responded by saying: "It's a pleasure to play at a mythical stadium like the Camp Nou. We come with an objective: we have an important match which we're ready for."

The midfielder admitted the clash with Barça is one of the most important of his career and that Barcelona were favourites to go through.

Ajax and United results are proof anything could happen

Feklir refused to give up and mentioned the shock victories for Ajax and Manchester United already in this round. "It's true that surprise results make you think. We're here to do our job and we know it's going to be a complicated task."

The attacking midfielder also had some words for Ousmane Dembele, who he might come up against should the winger prove his fitness. "Ousmane is a great player. He's shown it here at Barcelona as well as at Dortmund and Rennes. He's an international teammate and he's nice to see the level he's showing right now. Things haven't always been easy for him."

Lyon's captain praised Lionel Messi and said that, as he wasn't a defender, he didn't have the solution to stopping him. "We need to as a unit and work harder than usual."
