The striker has moved to Camp Nou on a season-long loan from Sevilla

Luuk de Jong passed his Barcelona medical on Monday and will train with his mew teammates later in the day.

Barca have published various videos of their new striker arriving at the training ground and undergoing tests at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper de Sant Joan Despí.

De Jong also spoke for the first time since moving to Camp Nou on deadline day, saying he was really “happy” to join the club and that it’s “incredible to be a Barca player.”

He added: “I hope to do a lot of good things for the team and the club. I can’t wait to get started. I am different to the strikers here already. I am tall, so I am good in the air.

”I know I won’t play every game but I have a good relationship with Ronald Koeman, he knows me from the national team and knows when he needs a player at the end of the game with height who is good in the air.”

De Jong will train this week ahead of Saturday’s game against Sevilla, who he has joined from on loan, and will be officially presented on Thursday.
