The Uruguayan spoke in an interview with BeIn Sports

Luis Suarez gave an interview to Bein Sports in which he spoke about the club and Leo Messi’s comments about his age at the Ballon d’Or awards.

“Leo has been misinterpreted,” said Suarez. “You have to understand that Leo just received a new Ballon d’Or in this moment and he was happy and nervous, because he’s a human like us. I think Leo Messi will be around for a long time.”

On the team: “It’s hard to win three competitions, it’s not easy to win the Champions League. It’s very hard. We’re hurt by what happened in the last two season. It was our mistake 100 percent and we know we have to turn the situation around.”

Replacing him: “If they bring a new team-mate to compete it will be the same pressure that I will have playing every three days. You have to think about the club’s future. One who’s a fan of the club and likes how they have treated him here… the best thing to do would be to look for a young forward to have the chance of enjoying being the Barca No 9 when I’m not around any more.”

Messi: “(The six Ballon d’Or photo) impressed me so much because it’s something unique. What he’s doing in football is something historic. As a friend and team-mate it’s something that fills me with pride.”
