Koeman has named a 23-man squad for Saturday's match against Elche at Camp Nou

Ronald Koeman, the Barcelona coach, has named a 23-man squad for the final friendly before the season gets underway next weekend.

Barça host Elche at Camp Nou in the Joan Gamper Trophy, without fans, and also without, once again, Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal.

Samuel Umtiti, Jean Clair Todibo, Rafinha and Moussa Wague also remain absent having not been involved throughout the preseason.

Slightly more surprisingly, Riqui Puig has not been called up, with Matheus Fernandes also omitted from the list of players given the nod.

There will be minutes for new signing Miralem Pjanic, though, who is included for the first time after recovering from coronavirus.
