The Uruguayan added a brace against Inter Milan last night to his tally, taking him to within touching distance of the landmark number

Last night saw Luis Suarez add another entry to his list of achievements at FC Barcelona. The 32-year-old striker has produced incredible moments and important goals throughout his time at the club but last night saw him reach a significant milestone.

Suarez never gives up and whenever people suggest his place in the team should go to someone else, he finds a way to prove his doubters wrong. His brace against Inter Milan saw not only Barça claim victory but also reach 100 goals scored at the Camp Nou.

THE NUMBERS

'El Pistolero' himself had added two Camp Nou braces to his tally this season (against Valencia and Inter Milan). His record per season reads as following: 13 (2014-15), 23 (2015-16), 20 (2016-17), 15 (2017-18), 13 (2018-19) y 4 (2019-20). Only one player, Lionel Messi, is ahead of Suarez in that ranking list.

Messi is in a league of his own and has 350 goals in Barça's home stadium. Others on the list include Rexach (78), Evaristo y Eto’o (77), Rivaldo (75), Asensi (71), Luis Enrique (69), Zaldúa (68) and Stoichkov (66).

Suarez has 22 Champions League goals for Barça and his strikes against Inter see him move ahead of Kluivert and Neymar (21). He's into the Top 3 alongside Messi (112) and Rivaldo (25).

The last time Suarez grabbed a brace in the Champions League came on the 13th September 2016 against Celtic (7-0).

In total, Suarez has scored 182 goals in 254 matches for Barça, averaging 0.71 goals per match. He's got five goals in seven matches so far this season.
