Luis Suárez hobbled by a knock from Chiellini during Barça-Juventus
Barça forward suffered a heavy challenge from the Italian during the second half of Barça-Juve
He has heavy bruising but the injury is not thought to be serious
FC Barcelona have had their scheduled recovery session at the Red Bull Training Center after their first game of pre-season against Juventus on Saturday. As the player’s walked out onto the training ground, Luis Suárez was visibly hobbling after receiving a blow from Chiellini during the match.
The injury should not be significant, but the medical staff will continue to monitor his progress in the next 72 hours. The next game, against Manchester United, will be played on the night of 26 July.
Suárez played the second half of the game, in which Neymar scored both Barça’s goals in a 2-1 win. Both goals were scored in the first half. In the video below, Suárez can clearly be seen to be hobbling slightly as he enters the training pitch with Neymar and Messi.
