Lionel Messi's latest challenge: to score at Las Palmas

Messi es el máximo artillero mundial en lo que va de 2017 / | SPORT.es

Las Palmas' ground is one of six historical top flight grounds he's not scored at

Messi is also looking for his 150th away goal since his Liga debut in 2004

If Lionel Messi can score against Las Palmas on Sunday, he will have scored at the homes of all 20 sides currently in La Liga -- it would also represent his 150th goal on the road in Spain's top flight.

Messi has scored at the grounds of every side in La Liga, with the exception of Las Palmas -- the only one where he has played and not managed to score. He has scored the most goals at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu and Deportivo La Coruna's Riazor (10 each). At Camp Nou he has scored 198 league goals.

Other stadiums where he has regularly scored include the Sánchez Pizjuán, Mestalla, Vicente Calderón and Vallecas. He has scored eight goals at each of them. Elswhere he has scored seven times at El Sardinero, El Sadar and La Romareda.

SIX GROUNDS HAUNT HIM

In contrast, there are six venues where Messi has not been able to score in La Liga since his debut in 2004. As well as Gran Canaria, he also fell short at the homes of Albacete, Numancia, Cádiz, Murcia and Xerez. He has only played at them each on one occasion, though.
